Energy Park

In 1873, the city of Saint Paul purchased the land surrounding Como Lake to help preserve the natural beauty as a public park. Many of the buildings were built in the early 1900s – 1930s with newly added additions like the Japanese Garden. Prior, in the 1880s, improved public transit to the area allowed for more residential development.
